Vincenza (“Vinnie”) passed away peacefully at the age of 96 on October 21, 2023. A life-long resident of Carnegie, PA, she was the daughter of Italian immigrants, the late Anthony and Antonina Bondello. She was a devoted wife and mother preceded in death by her loving husband, Frank Fera; and daughters Mary (Robert) Mong and Rosemarie (Frank) McCarron. She is survived by her daughter, Toni Fera; and her grandchildren, Stephen (Natalie) McCarron, Christine (Patrick) Finnegan, Marie (Jeff) Palmer, Michael Mong (Nicole) and Catherine McCarron. She also leaves behind her great grandchildren, Lilly, Nora, Nolan, Nina, Mila, Ellie, Ethan, and Olivia, and many nieces and nephews. She also was preceded in death by her siblings Mary (Adragna), Frank, and Peter. In the years she was able, she regularly attended mass at the Holy Souls Church and sang in the choir for many years, her memorable voice resounding with her faith. “Grandma’s” greatest joy was cooking for and spending time with her grandchildren and great grandchildren, often sharing stories of her youth or singing Christmas carols (anytime of year). The family would like to send out special thanks to her friend and caregiver Donna Sobocinski, the staff at Paramount Senior Living in Peters Township, and Gallagher Hospice for their care and support.
Vincenza is reposing at the BAGNATO FUNERAL HOME, 50 Jefferson St., Carnegie, PA. Viewing will be Tuesday October 24 2-4 and 6-8 PM.
