Theodore Stecko Obituary

Theodore (“Ted”) Stecko passed peacefully on December 12, 2022 at his residence in Centre Hall, PA.

Born in Albion, PA on May 14, 1936, Ted was the beloved son of Theodore and Mary (Kulik) Stecko, who preceded him in death.  He was also preceded in death by his loving sisters, Emily Stecko, Dorothy Stecko and Evelyn Steffora. 

After careers in scientific equipment sales and finance, Ted and his wife, Charlotte (Merz) moved to Centre Hall, PA for their retirement.  He was an avid outdoorsman, gardener,  and lifelong Steelers football fan. He was a veteran of the Korean War serving in the Army from 1957 to 1959

Ted is survived by his wife, Charlotte, whom he married on October 23, 1965, Ted was the loving father of his sons, Ted (Alice) Stecko, of Natick, MA, and Tim (Paulyanna) Stecko of Centre Hall, PA, and his daughter, Tammy (Greg) Morton, of Salem, VA, who are left to cherish his memory and carry on his passion for enjoying each day of life.  He is also survived by his sister, Meleny (William) Cole of Foley, AL, and his grandchildren, Timothy and Matthew Stecko, Marissa Stecko, and Adam and Thomas Morton.  He is also survived by his sister in law, two brothers in law, and numerous cousins, nieces, and nephews who were special part of his life.

Family and friends will be received at Bagnato Funeral Home for visitation on Sunday, December 18 from 4 pm to 7 pm.  A Funeral Liturgy will be held on Monday, December 19 at Holy Trinity Ukrainian Catholic Church in Carnegie with visitation at 9 am with the Liturgy following at 10 am.  Interment will follow the service at Holy Trinity Acres Cemetery.  Arrangements entrusted to the Bagnato Funeral Home in Carnegie. PA. In lieu of flowers, the family suggests memorial contributions in Ted’s honor be made to Holy Trinity Ukrainian Catholic Church, 730 Washington Avenue, Carnegie PA 15106 or St. Michael’s Ukrainian Catholic Church, 610 Hansen Avenue, Lyndora, PA 16045.
