Sam (“Sonny” to his family) was an entrepreneur, business owner, highly successful salesman and true Pittsburgh native who loved cooking (especially soup), singing, the arts, the Pirates, gardening, old movies, and early jazz. Graduate of Mt. Lebanon High School Class of 1958; U.S. Army veteran; Honorary Lifetime Member of The Pittsburgh Savoyards; Owner of The Village Bakery, ComSolve, Inc., and Sam & Tony’s Café; known as “The Hat” to fellow car salesman at #1 Cochran (selling cars was “the most fun job he ever had”); and active in the Cloverleaf Estates West community.
