Ruth W. Fischer, 102, of Mount Lebanon (formerly Carnegie) passed away on June 17, 2026 at Asbury Heights, Mount Lebanon. The daughter of the late George and Marie Wolbert, she was born on September 23, 1923, in Pittsburgh. She was preceded in death by her husband of 59 years, Eugene Charles Fischer, and her sisters, Marie, Georgiana, and Dorothy. Ruth enjoyed cooking and baking for her family and was famous for her nut rolls and star cookies. Family Christmas parties and trips to the beach were special joys for her. She was also a talented and avid artist, and her paintings grace the homes of many family members. Forever friend to many.
She is survived by her children, Kathy (Larry) Cisko, Michael (Mary Ann) Fischer, Larry (Diana) Fischer, and James (Diane) Fischer; grandchildren, Kimberly (Eric) Bracken, Laurel (Camilo) Lopez, Heather Brooks, Mandi Fischer, Michael (Colleen) Fischer, Kevin (Jessica) Fischer, Christopher Fischer, Anne (Russ) Mathis, and Lisa (Adam Nowosielski) Fischer; 14 great-grandchildren; and 2 great-great-grandchildren. Her little ones always held a special place in her heart.
Friends and relatives will be received at Bagnato Funeral Home, Carnegie on Sunday June 21, 2026 2-4 6-8 PM A Mass of Christian burial will be held at St Elizabeth Ann Seton Church Monday 10A
