Rose (Massella) Talmonti

Rose Talmonti, age 98, passed away peacefully on Thursday, August 22, 2024. Her loss was expected but the family is profoundly saddened.

Rose was born December 20th, 1925, in Carnegie, PA to Antonio and Maria Massella. She was one of six children: late Christine, late Thomas, late Joseph, Dominic and late Edward.

Rose married the love of her life, Camillo Talmonti on November 24th, 1946, and soon after settled into their home in East Carnegie, PA.  It was in that home that they raised their four children: late Bernadette Zombeck, late Carmen (Kathy) Talmonti, Maria (Ken) Lockhart and Dean (Sharon) Talmonti. She was a grandmother to nine beautiful grandchildren that she loved dearly: Albert, Kristan, Carmen Anthony, Amy, Rosanne, Melissa, Lauren, Rose and Camillo. She was a great-grandmother to nine children.

Rose embodied the best of qualities; unconditional love for her family and friends, strength in her Catholic faith and unending generosity that could be seen in everything she did.  Whether it was a plate of homemades’ (pasta) in her kitchen, or a shared laugh with a little Italian wine (better known to her as Dago red) at a family gathering, she was always making people happy.
