Richard Schumm died Sunday March 29, 2026 at the age of 70. He will be remembered as a devoted husband, father, and grandfather. He survived by his loving wife of 32 years, Judith (Staudacher) Schumm; his beloved daughter Amy (Anthony) Bevilacqua; and his cherished grandchildren, Roman and Natalie who were the joys of his life.
He was born and raised in Mt. Lebanon, Pennsylvania and graduated class of 1974. He was a humble man who loved his family, and always had a good story to tell. He was an avid outdoorsman in his younger years, enjoying fishing, canoeing, camping, and cave exploring. He had endless stories to tell of his adventures hitchhiking across the country in the late 70’s. He loved taking trips with his wife and they have shared many adventures together.
Richard was a proud member of the IBEW local 5 union where he worked for over 35 years. He loved pointing out his jobs around the city, his favorites being PNC Park and Heinz Field.
He was preceded in death by his parents Clyde Sr. and Irene Schumm. His sister Patricia King, brother Clyde “Sonny” Schumm.
He will be deeply missed by all who loved him.
Family and friends will be welcome for visitation on Thursday April 2, 2026 from 10am-12pm at Bagnato Funeral Home, 50 Jefferson St. Carnegie, PA 15106. He will be laid to rest at Mt. Lebanon Cemetary.
