Nicholas R Stone

On Saturday, December 3, 2022, Nicholas R. Stone unexpectedly passed away. Beloved son of Robert and Irene (Demain) Stone (both deceased), Nick was born in Pittsburgh in October, 1968. A child of the Steel City through and through, Nick brought a sharp sense of humor, a love of local sports, and an easy-going attitude to every interaction. After finishing school, he pursued a career in finance and banking. Outside of work, he loved the outdoors and his children. An avid sportsman, he pursued biking and baseball - even playing in the minor leagues. During his life he called many cities home. He lived in Pittsburgh, New York, Houston, and San Francisco before returning to Pittsburgh to spend more time with his family in his home town. He is the loving father of and survived by Christina Marie Mechtel, Zachary Ethan, Madeline Olivia, and Alexander Nathan Stone. Friends received in St. Peter & Paul Ukrainian Orthodox Church, Carnegie, Thursday December 8 from 10 AM. Liturgical service begins at 11:30. Family will receive friends at: Napoli Restaurant and Lounge, 1273 Washington Pike, Bridgeville, PA 15017
