Volk-Gorny, Nancy Ann age 63 of Carnegie, peacefully in her sleep on June 30, 2026: Loving wife of Robert Gorny for 24 years, proud mother to Eric (Kristen) Johnson and Keith Johnson who preceded her in death and waiting for her at Heaven’s gate and grandma to Josephine and Cameron whom she adored and love to spoil. Daughter to Bonnie Volk, sister to Fred (Cecila) Volk, Clyde (Sheree) Volk, John Volk, Thomas (Karen) Volk, Timothy Volk, Patrick (Wendy) Volk and Amy (John) Dailey. Nancy was also preceded in death by her father Frederick Volk and sister Althea Volk.
Nancy made sure to live life to her fullest and worked as hard as she played. She graduated from Pittsburgh School of Nursing as an LPN and loved caring for her patients at Kane Hospital and Carnegie Pediatrics. She loved to swim and spent much of her time in her pool or finding any way to be near water. When she couldn’t be wet, she would be looking to the sky flying one of her many kites. She also loved thrifting, going to casinos, and cruising and was looking forward to a 25th anniversary cruise with Bob.
A celebration of life picnic will be held July 4, 2026 at Settlers Cabin Park Algonquin Grove from 2-6 PM
Friends received at the Bagnato Funeral Home, Jefferson St., Carnegie Sunday 2-4 6-8 PM. Funeral mass in St Elizabeth Ann Seton Church St Raphael the Arch Angel parish Monday 10 AM
