Louis Leporace
On Monday August 28, 2023 at age 98, Louis Leporace of East Carnegie, passed.
Born in Pittsburgh, and lived in East Carnegie his whole life. Son of the late Alexander Leporace and
Angeline (Panebianco) Leporace. Beloved husband of the late Martha (Walko) Leporace, his wife of 62
years. Brother of the late Pauline (Leporace) Aloise, Lena (Leporace) Sgro, Francis (Leporace) Falotico,
Rose Leporace, and Russell Leporace. He is survived by his sons Louis and Michael Leporace, and
numerous nieces, nephews, grandchildren, and great grandchildren. He was loved by all who knew him
and will be dearly missed.
Lou was a loving husband and father who loved to travel and who enjoyed the company of his family,
friends, and neighbors. He loved living in East Carnegie and was proud to live across from the East
Carnegie Volunteer Fire Department, where special friends served. He enjoyed many activities in
Western Pennsylvania.
Lou was a retired construction electrician for Universal-Cyclops, where he worked for 44 years. He was
especially proud of the electrical overhaul work he performed on the Blooming Mill and overhead
cranes, and was instrumental in keeping the two 3,500 hp motors running.
He and his family were members of Holy Souls Church.
The viewing will be held on Friday SEP 1, 2023 from 2:00 – 4:00 pm & from 6:00 – 8:00 pm at:

Blessing Service will be held Saturday SEP 2 at 10:00 am at Bagnato Funeral Home, and he will be laid to rest at
Holy Souls Cemetery (4772 Campbells Run Road, Pittsburgh, PA 15205).
In lieu of flowers the family suggests contributions to a favorite charity in Lou's name.
A private gathering of family and friends will be held at a later date.
