Josephine “Shorty” (DeLuce)

passed peacefully away in Scott Township on December 30, 2012 at the age of 95.

She is survived by her loving husband Joseph Miele. Shorty and Joe were married in 1939 and spent 73 wonderful years together. Josie is lovingly remembered by her daughter Joanne (Miele) Borgesi, son-in-law Joe Borgesi, grandson Jason Borgesi and wife Mary (Carney) Borgesi, granddaughter Jennifer (Borgesi) Alessandro and husband Joe Alessandro, and three great-grandchildren Jake, Maggie and RJ Borgesi, all of the Pittsburgh area

‘Nunnie’, had a good life surrounded by her many family and friends.  Those who knew her will always remember Nunnie’s home-cooking and her open houses.  She spent many a Sunday serving up a hot meal to an overflowing table.  Nobody ever left the house hungry and if you didn’t ask for seconds, you “barely ate a thing”. 

Viewing will be held at Bagnato Funeral Home, 50 Jefferson Street, Carnegie, PA   on Wednesday January 2^nd at 2-4 and 6-8. A mass of Christian burial will be held at Sts. Simon and Jude Church, Scott Township on Thursday, January 3rd at 12:00 p.m add
