Passed away peacefully on October 10, 2014 at age 96; beloved husband of the late Josephine “Shorty” Miele; Joe and Shorty were married in 1939 and spent 73 wonderful years together. Joe is lovingly remembered by his daughter Joanne Borgesi, Son-in-law Joe, grandson Jason Borgesi and wife Mary, granddaughter Jennifer Alessandro and husband Joe, and three great-grandchildren Jake, Maggie and RJ Borgesi; Brother of Jean Cestra, Yolanda “Babe” Bauer and the late Steve, Tony, Mary Goril, Frank, Helen Macioce, and Fred Miele.  Pap Pap was always kind, always loving, and always captivating audiences with his storytelling.  He learned to drive at the age of 12, so it was no surprise that later in life he became a truck driver.  He was also a proud WWII Veteran, laying communication lines across France. Friends received at the Bagnato Funeral Home, Jefferson St. Carnegie Sunday 2-4 6-8 PM. Mass of Christian burial in SS Simon and Jude church Monday at Noon.  Donations may be made in his honor to the Disabled American Veterans (www.dav.org) or to the Wounded Warrior Project at (www.woundedwarriorproject.org)
