Jerome Salerno, 89, of Scott Township, passed away April 18, 2020 at St. Clair Hospital.
Born May 17, 1930 in Glendale, he was the son of the late Frank and Maria Salerno.
Jerome was a graduate of Scott Township, 1947 and Robert Morris College (Accounting), 1957.
Jerome was the Treasurer of Russell Industries for over 30 years and the former co-owner, with his nephew, Frank Romano, of Blanc Printing, Bridgeville.
He served in the U.S. Air Force during the Korean War, attaining the rank of Staff Sergeant.
He was an avid tennis, ping pong and bocce player. He had a lifelong love of learning. His interests included yoga, philosophy, acupressure and essential oils.
Besides his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife of 38 years, Rosemarie Salerno; brother, Thomas; and sisters, Mary Novelli, Agnes Romano and Katherine Giocondi.
Jerome is survived by his daughters, Becky Carson, of Castle Shannon and Theresa (David) Elkin, of Cranberry Twp.; granddaughters, Nicole Costello, Michelle Costello, Katie (Chad) Stanley and Julie Elkin; and great-granddaughter, Victoria Eames. He is also survived by his companion of 20 years, Joan Yoho; and his brother Joseph Salerno
