Sally
Harry S.
on April 30, 2021, age 72, from complications of Covid-19. Harry passed with his wife and daughters by his side. He is survived by his wife, Mary, and his daughters Sally Sally (Doug Sweeney) and Bonnie (Ronny) Marnich. He also leaves behind his beloved grandsons, Sam and Gavin Sweeney and Charlie Marnich as well as his brother, Tom (Pat) Sally and many nieces, nephews, cousins and dear friends.
Harry served his country in the U.S. Army during the Vietnam War including a tour of duty in Germany. He worked in the steel industry for Teledyne-Columbia-Summerill in Carnegie until its closure and for the U.S. Department of Defense. Harry was an avid hunter, fisher, bowler and golfer. He played softball for many years. While Harry was a serious Pittsburgh sports fan, and especially fond of the Pirates, it was rooting for each of his grandsons that was his greatest joy. More than anything else, though, he loved spending time with family and friends. Harry was always ready with a smile and to pour a drink whether for guests at home or at The Collier Sportsman’s Club where he tended bar. He will be deeply missed and never forgotten. Friends received at the Bagnato funeral home. Jefferson St., Carnegie Friday 6-8 and Saturday 2-8 PM. Blessing service Monday 11 AM. Interment in the National Cemetery of the Alleghenies with full military honors.
