Florence Teresa Hall (Collavo), 81, passed away unexpectedly on February 13, 2020. Florence (Flo to her friends), was born September 19, 1938 in Greentree, the daughter of William and Elsie (Dobich) Collavo. She was married to Donald “Tom” Hall from 1961 until his death in 2004. She was a 1956 graduate of St. Luke High School in Carnegie. She obtained her nursing certificate in 1959 from St. Joseph’s nursing school and her BS in nursing from Carlow University in 1994. She was a tireless and devoted caregiver and worked as a nurse for many years at Kane Hospital, Woodville State Hospital, VA Hospital and Western Psychiatric.
She was a devoted mother and faithful friend, a member of the parish of St. Philip Roman Catholic Church in Crafton and a great cook. She spent many weekends at “the farm” gardening, cooking and spending time with her grandchildren and animals. She never forgot a birthday or anniversary. She will be remembered for her sense of humor, her generosity and her loyalty to family and friends.
She was preceded in death by her husband Tom. She is survived by her brother William Collavo, children Dyan, Thomas and Douglas (Sharon), and grandchildren Amanda (Ryan), Matthew, Cailin, Leah, Caroline and Samuel, great grandchildren Carter, Brody, Harley, many cousins and life-long friends.
Visitation will be Monday, February 17th at Bagnato Funeral Home, 50 Jefferson Street, Carnegie, from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8.
A mass of Christian Burial will be Tuesday at 10:00 am at St. Philip Catholic Church, 52 West Crafton Avenue, Crafton, Pennsylvania.
