Evelyn F (Ferri) McGovern

Evelyn Ferri McGovern of Sewickley passed away Friday January 2, 2026.  Born September 29, 1930, Devoted daughter of Terzilio H and Romana M Ferri.  Sister of Dr. Henry Ferri.  Evelyn was fiercely independent her entire life.  Incredibly proud of her Italian heritage, she cherished her Carnegie Community.  Evelyn was a devoted teacher in the Carlynton School District. She is remembered to her continued dedication to her students even in her retirement.  She helped make Carlynton field trips possible and provided a memorial headstone for a student that had passed.  She was a loyal friend of many and adored her Italian Greyhounds.
