Raymond (Remo) Moretti
Raymond Moretti, born in East Carnegie, Pennsylvania, on April 2, 1926, passed away on Sunday, July 8. He was a graduate of Langley High School who proudly served in the United States Army during World War II. He attended Duquesne University and then embarked on a real estate career, eventually becoming the owner of R. Moretti Real Estate in Carnegie, which continues today as Moretti Moretti and Fritz.
Ray was preceded in death by his wife of 53 years, Mary, and also by his sisters, Elizabeth Persiani and Erma Caiuzzi. He is survived by his children – Marino, Michael (Deb), Ed (Deb), Lisa, and Thomas – and grandchildren Matthew Moretti and Meghan Allison. He also is survived by close and supportive nieces, nephews, and in-laws and a wonderful network of friends.
Ray enjoyed spending time with his family – birthday parties, holidays, Italian Day at Kennywood Park, and vacations to the Jersey Shore. He was a lifelong resident of Carnegie and was a familiar and friendly face there. Ray touched many lives through his easygoing manner and generous nature. He was a good storyteller and historian, and he will be greatly missed by all who knew him.
Visitation is Wednesday, July 11, 6:00 to 8:00 p.m., and Thursday, July 12, 2:00 to 4:00 p.m. and 6:00 to 8:00 p.m.at Bagnato Funeral Home, 50 Jefferson Street, Carnegie, PA. Mass of Christian Burial is at 10:00 a.m. on Friday, July 13, St. Elizabeth Ann Seton Church, 330 3rd Avenue, Carnegie, PA.
