James Michael McLaren, born March 6, 1948 died peacefully on March 17, 2017 after a long battle with Pancreatic  Cancer.  He is survived by Mary Rose  Campolongo -McLaren , his wife of 49 years. Jim was a beloved husband, father and grandfather. He is preceded in death by his parents Malcolm Neil McLaren, Frances Fisher McLaren and brother Thomas McLaren. James leaves behind two sons, John Michael and Jason Matthew with wife Shanna  and two grandchildren Makenzie Rose and Jameson Matthew  McLaren.

Born in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania, James served his country faithfully in the US Army, Army National Guard and US Army Reserves for 17 years. He was a graduate of Penn State University. James worked on various Railroads spanning many states and countries for 30 plus years. James was an active member of the NRA and The American Legion.

James fought valiantly with Pancreatic Cancer  and wanted others who struggled with the disease to have access to services that helped him. In lieu of flowers, the family requests  donations  to the Nikki Mitchell Foundation for Pancreatic Cancer Early Detection, Research, Treatment and Family Help. He will be deeply missed and remembered for all the lives he touched and all the memories that were shared.

Viewing will be on Tuesday March 21, 2017  2:00 PM to 4:00 PM and 6:00 PM  to 8:00 PM at Bagnato Funeral Home 50 Jefferson Street Carnegie, PA 15106. A funeral mass will be held on Wednesday March 22, 2017 at 10:00 AM at St. Elizabeth Ann Seton Parish 330 3rd Avenue Carnegie, PA 15106 and finally laid to rest at Queen of Heaven Mausoleum, Mc Murray, PA
