Anthony J. Cascio (NINO) age 93, passed away October 17, 2018. Anthony was born and raised in Carnegie. He was a sergeant in the United States Army-Airforce as an airplane mechanic in the 316th troop carrier squadron from 1942-1946. After leaving the Army-Airforce he married Lillian Hoag and went on to have 7 children. He was known as "Nino" to his friends.
Anthony loved gardening and spent endless hours during the summer months tending to his plants. He enjoyed working on cars, cooking, and yard work but above all, spending time with his family.
Anthony is survived by his children; Joseph Cascio, Anthony Cascio, Rose Henke (Joe), Nancy Wissel (Joe), Anita Cascio, and Marie Bogats (Brian), grandchildren; Joseph Wissel (Amanda), Joseph Casico, Natalie Hnat (Jon), James Adragna, Andrew Wissel, Angela Martin (Josh), Raymond Henke and Jared Cascio. He is also survived by his great grandson Jack Hnat.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Giuseppe and Rosilsa Cascio, his loving wife Lillian Cascio and daughter Christine Cascio.
Family to receive friends at Bagnato Funeral home, 50 Jefferson St. Carnegie, on Thursday October 18, 2018, between the hours of 2-8 p.m. A funeral mass will be celebrated at St. Elizabeth Ann Seton Church, 330 Third Avenue, Carnegie, Friday 10 a.m. Burial will follow at Holy Souls Cemetery, Robinson Township
