Edward P. Weiss, passed away unexpectedly on November 25 in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania.
He, with his family, were very proud of his military service and lifelong commitment to justice. While practicing law, Ed met the love of his life, Colleen, spending the next five decades together. In his hard earned retirement, he joined the local community college as faculty, where he loved the students he taught, met and mentored there.
Ed enjoyed collecting rare coins and following baseball. His constant yearning for knowledge fed his interest in history and war-time biographies. He enjoyed frequenting local eateries and restaurants, becoming a weekly staple at many. Time was best spent taking long rides in the country with Colleen by his side. Ultimately, his greatest joy was being around his family and friends.
Ed, lovingly known as Popi, is survived by his wife, step-daughter, two grandsons, and six great-grandchildren. He will be buried at the National Cemetery of the Alleghenies. There will be no visitation or funeral at this time. A celebration of Ed's life will be held at the family's convenience. The family suggests that a memorial be made to Toys for Tots.
