Jack, I was deeply saddened to learn of your passing but know that you are in a much better place. Your mother, Blanche, and my mother, Clara, were sisters. You and I grew up in Carnegie just a few blocks apart, you on Terrace and we on Gormley.

As kids we often played together. I remember our setting up our combined Lionel trains on the living room floor at Christmastime. We together watched our grandfather, Ralph Bradley, pitch horseshoes. We chased after stray tennis balls for the tennis players, including my dad, Clark. We took turns swinging on a rope out over Chestnut Street, much to the consternation of the car drivers so far below.

I believe you played football at Carnegie H.S. as did our mutual cousin, Harry Rinehart, a few years before.

We moved away when I was 12. Our chances to get together became more infrequent.

I cherish fond memories of our common family experiences. You will always be a part of my heart and head.

You are now with the Angels and our family who have gone before. When it's my time to meet my Lord and Heaven, I will call on you to pull me up.

John,
Memories of joy, sitting down with you, having a beverage and sharing stories about the tree farm, casinos, and life in general – Those, alone with your trips to Texas and Oklahoma, are the fun times that I will truly cherish and miss.
You leave behind a supportive family, I will watch over them for you my friend, and will miss you very much. God bless.

With love, Anil

Pappap,
I'll always cherish our time and memories together - everything from family gatherings at the farm to selling wreaths and making ornaments at the holidays to my road trip to see you to the first time you met Olivia. You taught me how to play poker and to always use a poker face in awkward situations. And you were just so happy meeting your great granddaughter. I promise that she will hear plenty of stories about you in the years to come.

We all love you so much and wish we had more time with you. Please watch over us, Olivia and I have always been your little angels, now you are ours.

Love you forever,
Amber & Olivia

ON BEHALF OF SONYA & MYSELF, I OFFER OUR SINCERE CONDOLENCES AND DEEPEST SYMPATHIES.
I FIRST MET MR.OTTO IN THE LATE 1980s AND GOT TO KNOW HIM WELL AFTER RED(Dave) AND I BECAME ROOMMATES AT SCHOOL.
I WOULD SEE HIM FREQUENTLY AT THE FARM AND ENJOYED HEARING ABOUT HIS VISION FOR THE PLACE.
I ALSO ENJOYED HIS RECOUNTS OF DAVE's PRE-COLLEGE ESCAPADES.
MR. OTTO WAS, FROM DAY ONE OF OUR MEETING.. A STRAIGHT SHOOTER, A DILIGENT AND HARDWORKING MAN OF ACTION, ALWAYS QUICK WITH A PERTINENT WORD OF INSIGHT & ADVICE, AND VERY PROUD OF HIS FAMILY AND HIS/THEIR ACHIVEMENTS.. ALTHOUGH UNDOUBTEDLY FROM A GENERATION THAT HAD SUBTLE WAYS TO EXPRESS THOSE EMOTIONS.

I ALWAYS CALLED HIM SIR,OR MR.OTTO, BECAUSE I FELT AND STILL FEEL, THAT HE DESERVED THAT HONORIFIC.
THE WORK ETHIC, DILIGENCE, GENEROSITY AND HUMILITY HE PORTRAYED(AND HAS BEEN THANKFULLY IMPARTED TO DAVE) WILL CONTINUE TO THRIVE EVEN AFTER HIS PASSING.

MR.OTTO..GOD-SPEED & GREEN TREES, SIR!!!

Your fellow Donut & Apple-Fritter eating partner, V.Kohli.
