 Age 89 of Carnegie Passed away peacefully at home surrounded by family on Friday January 26, 2018 (born October 12, 1928); son of the late Fred Louis and Rose Ann (O’Donnell) Volk; preceded in death by his siblings James and K. Laverne (Garber); loving  husband of 63 years to Bonnie (Shaffer); survived by his 9 children, 18 grandchildren and 6 great grandchildren Fred & Cecelia, Althea, Clyde & Sheree, John, Tom & Mary, Tim, Nancy F. Volk, Nancy & Bob Gorney, Patrick & Wendy, Amy & John Dailey. Fred served as an aircraft mechanic and radar technician for the Air force PA National Guard and participated in the Berlin Air Lift. He grew up on the family farm in Robinson Twp. on Campbells Run Rd, enjoyed dancing, bowling, golfing, and spending time with family and friends. Friends received at the Bagnato Funeral Home, Jefferson St., Carnegie Mon 2-4 6-8 PM. Funeral mass in St Elizabeth Ann Seton Church Tues 10 AM. In lieu of flowers donations can be made to St. Elizabeth Ann Seton Church
