On November 8, 2016, Frank A. Rotonto, Sr. quietly passed away after a short bout with cancer. Frank was born on May 26, 1918. He has been a member of Saints Simon & Jude Church since it opened its doors in 1955 and helped to clear the land for the church to be built. He retired from Union Electric Steel Corporation on May 31, 1981 after 25 years of service and he was also a Veteran of World War II.
He is the son of the late Anthony and Margaret Rotonto. He was preceded in death by the love of his life Adeline (Lena) Pizzingrilli Rotonto; his granddaughter Hope Rotonto; brother Vincent Rotonto; brother and sister-in-law Joseph and Rita Rotondo; sister and brother-in-law Edith and Dellarosso Verrico; father-in-law and mother-in-law Emidio and Sperantina Pizzingrilli; brother-in-law Valentino (Andy) Pizzingrilli; sister-in-law and brother-in-law Vera and Basil (Buz) Funaro; sister-in-law and brother-in-law Ida and Daniel Piacquadio. Frank is survived by his beloved children and grandchildren, son, Frank Rotonto, Jr. (Sandy Wade) of Pittsburgh, PA; daughter, Adele Williams (Wade) of Sevierville, TN; grandson, Anthony Rotonto of Leesburg, VA, and granddaughter, Melissa Rotonto of Los Angeles, CA. He is also survived by three great-granddaughters and one great-great granddaughter in Seattle, WA; a step-grandson, in Texas; a step-granddaughter in Ohio; two step-great grandsons in Texas; a step-great-great grandson in Texas; and many nephews and nieces he truly loved. We want to thank his caregivers Angela Herschk and Melissa Bayan for the gentle and wonderful care they gave him in his last days. Although he will be greatly missed we take comfort in knowing he is home with our Lord, his loving wife, Lee, and other family in Heaven. We love you, Dad.
