So sorry for your loss. Audrey, Sydney, Ben and I have you in our prayers. Mr. Pfeiffer always had a smile and a joke for me. He was willing to take the time to show me how to do something he was working on, he was very giving of his time and knowledge. So happy to have him as my second dad across the street!

Our contacts with brother David were brief during our sporadic visits to Browns Hill Bible Chapel, but he left us with a deep impression of kindness and godliness. Of our dear brother it can be truly said, "Blessed are the dead which die in the Lord from henceforth: Yea, saith the Spirit, that they may rest from their labours; and their works do follow them."
We are told in God's word, and this applies to brother David and all the children of God, that "the righteous is taken away from the evil to come. He shall enter into peace: they shall rest in their beds, each one walking in his uprightness."
Our hearts and our prayers are with all dear ones, with Barbara, Dave, Brian, Elizabeth, Kathy and families, all grandchildren and great-grandchildren. May the Lord, comfort you in your sorrow, and fill you with His peace and joy. Remember the "true and faithful words" that John received and wrote: that one day God will make "all things new", an economy and existence in which "there shall be no more death, neither sorrow, nor crying, neither shall there be any more pain: for the former things are passed away." He will "wipe away all tears" from your eyes, and all of you, who have placed your trust in the Lord, will join brother David, along with all the saints of the ages, as God tabernacles with His people.
The apostle Paul confirms that death will be destroyed, as it is swallowed up in victory, its sting which is sin, and its strength which is the law, removed, as the saints will be transformed in their bodies at the last trump, resurrected from death, such that the corruptible would have put on incorruption, and the mortal would have put on immortality.
May the Lord encourage you to take the mantle of brother David and be "steadfast, unmovable, always abounding in the work of the Lord, forasmuch as ye know that your labour is not in vain in the Lord."

Our hearts are full recalling the memories of the many prayers, songs and stories that you shared with us. The Pfeiffers are an interwoven part of our family, and Dave will be missed. I thank God that He ordained our paths to cross. Thank you for loving God and your boldness to speak truth, as well as training four wonderful families (as well as we who watched) to do the same.
